What is FOI?
Foundation Outreach International is organized and operated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit according to U.S. tax regulations and is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization. We are committed to the idea of good works. Our focus is on humanitarian projects and the development of leadership and character in the lives of all people, but especially among the youth and young adults around the world.

How can I volunteer with FOI?
In order to volunteer for an FOI project, you must fill out an application on the project page and submit within the deadline date. Applications are processed by project heads and are evaluated under several different criteria. You can check out each projects application on their pages and read about past trips in our news section.
How can I support FOI?
You can support FOI by interacting with us on our social media pages, giving a one-time gift, or even setting up a recurring gift. Your employer may provide a corporate matching program, consider using this magnified form of giving.
Are my gifts to FOI tax deductible?
Yes, Foundation Outreach International is organized and operated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit according to U.S. tax regulations and is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization.
Why does FOI require volunteers to pay half of the travel cost to go on an overseas project?
We believe that all projects overseas require a certain amount of commitment to serving and helping others, by paying for half of the airfare, volunteers who are truly committed and passionate about our mission are separated from those that are unsure about the experience.
Can I give a restricted gift to a FOI project of my choice?
While FOI gladly accepts restricted gifts, no project is favored over another. It is preferred that gifts are unrestricted as some projects can be overfunded while others are underfunded. General gifts helps support the projects that require it most and keeps all projects funded for operation.
